The medications themselves, continuous glucose monitors, and Labwork are sold separately. We can't guarantee that your insurance will cover all the costs associated with these labs.
Metformin is the primary medication we prescribe for this program. We will only prescribe it if your labs show it is needed. We may also prescribe thyroid hormone if labs show it would be appropriate. However, even then we highly recommend a lifestyle-first approach to correcting thyroid issues.
The cost of a continuous glucose monitor can vary greatly depending on the type and manufacturer. They typically range from $150-$400 a month. While not strictly necessary, we highly recommend one. This will allow us to pinpoint blood sugar spikes that occur throughout the day and determine what causes them. Normal glucose testing won't detect these spikes and may give the illusion of normal, healthy glucose levels due to the tests typically only being taken at times when your blood sugar is stable.

I am a certified health coach through the Primal Health Coaching Institute and a certified personal trainer through ISSA.
Growing up, I was very active and into sports (especially basketball and softball). But once I stopped playing sports, I stopped being active. Eventually, that caught up to me, and I found myself in my mid-20s with severe digestive issues. And when my husband and I got married and tried to get pregnant, even more health issues developed.
When doctors couldn't help, I decided to take ownership of my own health. I discovered anti-inflammatory elimination diets, learned how chronic inflammation was almost certainly at the root of my problems, and started a program the very next day.
Since then, I've lost about 25 pounds and gained significant strength, muscle, and energy. I sleep deeply and wake up refreshed almost every morning. I have a healthier relationship with food and with the natural world. I look, feel, and perform much, much better than I did before discovering these principles.
